Caitlin Heffernan
Caitlin Heffernan is a London-based artist working across painting and installation. Her practice explores the relationship between material, landscape and place, creating immersive works that investigate memory, ecology and the poetics of lived experience.
Heffernan completed the MA Painting programme at the Royal College of Art in 2025 and holds an MFA from Central Saint Martins, following studies at Falmouth School of Art, Winchester School of Art, and Konstfack University in Stockholm as part of an international research programme.
She has received commissions from Metal Arts and Somerset Art Works, and has been awarded national and international artist residencies. Her work has been exhibited widely across the UK and internationally, including The Koppel Project, D Contemporary Award, Chilli Art Projects, Turps Alumni, Mall Galleries, Safehouse, Fitzrovia Gallery, PADA Gallery (Lisbon), and the London Wetland Centre. She has also been selected for the Jerwood Drawing Prize.
Alongside her studio practice, Heffernan is co-founder, curator and director of Unravelled, an independent curatorial platform producing ambitious site-specific exhibitions in collaboration with organisations including the National Trust and the London Wetland Centre.
