About the work
Violence of vegetation is a ceramic sculpture that explores the symbolic character of the border and the way it is integrated into the landscape. The sculpture is part of the project “Η διάβρωση είναι φαινόμενο πόνου/Τhe afterimage of a border”. The project examines issues related to the landscape, territoriality and locality. In this context the border is seen as an imaginary, invisible and fragile formation that violently dominates the landscape, limits ecological consciousness and defines the relationship between humans and nature.
